Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all you Irish out there!
And that goes just as well for those of you who, like myself, are of the Irish Diaspora! π
Since I’m wearing my best Kelly Green today, I decided to share a little bit of my own Irish luck with all of you: My first speedpaint is now up on my YouTube channel!
This portrait did not take me a very long time to create, and since I often record my own process for review purposes, I thought I would share it with you. In all honesty, the hard part came when I went to put all the clips together. I had no idea how to do it!
The first adventure came after I opened Adobe Premiere CS6 for the first time and it would not import my MP4 files into the program so I could put them together. That was a fun workaround to research. I finally downloaded an unofficial old copy of Windows Movie Maker from the Interwebs because it has been discontinued (much to the detriment of ANY movie maker out there) by Microsoft, was able to open my files in that, sped it up, saved it, and finally- FINALLY- was able to import the vid into Premiere. Phew!
Have any of you ever had this sort of adventure with movie-making? Because this was a fun one- no joke! (I sincerely love hands-on learning like this.)
After I got that figured out, it was all watching tutorials, stringing it together, researching music rights, and making it look darn good, if I do say so, meself. π
(I know, I know, the title cards look like a 5-year-old made them. I’m still learning, haha.)
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the video and the portrait!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day~!
Cheers,
Amanda
